Jet Sled Runners/ size help
« on: Dec 26, 2017, 11:04 AM »
Hey All!

I am looking for a little help here. I own a Jet sled JR, Jet sled 1, and a cabelas sled (i guess there is only 1 size for cabelas sled). I am most interested in putting runners on the Jet sled 1 as i also pull deer with it and noticed it took an abuse after pulling out 7 deer this year. However, after looking on basspro i noticed they only sell the blue runners in 2 sizes. (40x1x1 and 59x1x1) Any idea what i need for the Jet sled 1 and installing tips? Also, do they make anything for the Cabelas sled? I would like to order these asap to have it ready for the weekend.  Thank you in advance! I am guessing the jet sled jr will use the small sized runners.

Oh - and do these help lighten the load when pulling on ice/snow? I would think so since there would be less surface area.
Just add water.

Jet Sled 1 is 54” long.  40s are too short, 59s would need to be cut.  Better to get the green ones made for Shappell sleds SW3 size.  I have them on mine and they work well.

Bucket of hot water will help with the bending of the tips ...also make the screw holes a tad smaller so they will hold/seal better.

I believe so ...I have a small JS1 sled have yet to put runners on it ...I don't think I need them for my conditions/use .. my Frabill 2 man has them so I can drag it across pavement ...sandy beach areas if need be ...they will add life to whatever you install them on .
