Lazer hand auger exact hole sizes?

Hey Guys...........
Who could measure after cutting a hole what the sizes are in the real world.  I have a 7", but any measure of a size would answer it. Does a 6, 7, or 8 really cut that size?  I'm working on a little project where it's going to be important to know the actual end result.

Really? You can't figure out a way to measure the width of your 7" auger without someone else drilling a hole to measure for you? Ain't rocket surgery. Might be a good place to start the little project.

BTW.....my auger is 6 hours away where I go to  fish normally, so yeah, I would measure it if I had it.

Last I checked my 6” is 6” I didn’t have a micrometer !!

8" K-Drill is 7.25ish, so an advertised size isn't always accurate...

Actual cut size varies by personal dexterity.

One guy may cut an oval looking hole while the next guy may cut a near perfect circle.

Well if you measure for outside to outside of the 2 blades it will give you exact measurements. No need to drill a hole.
