Snowmobile / Wordens Pond
« on: Nov 25, 2017, 05:13 PM »
Good Evening,
Anyone have any idea on the regulations or what may be the deal with operating a snowmobile on the pond? I see guys back by the hanger and have always wondered where they got on and if the squirrel cops gave them fits? And while I am at it how about Watermans? Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks.... think cold.

I am no help re: info in that department. However, with the conditions in recent years you're lucky to WALK on a couple INCHES in those ponds, never mind a snowmobile! Hope springs eternal, however. Here's hoping to a repeat of 2015! Cold cold cold winter, come on!

Wasn't that long ago if drive my truck back there, but mostly we would huff it back there. Id usually take half of an extension ladder tied to the top of my sled cause the ice would heave daily and several times needed the ladder to cross the ravine.

I could be remembering this wrong, but when I used to work in Burrilville about 12-13 years back I seem to recall seeing trucks out on Wilsons when I would drive by. Am I imagining that?

its all common sense guys i have seen 3/4 ton pickups on Wordens all the over by the hanger and i have seen guys trying to recover the snowmobile through a hole      ten guys standing around a bonfire  I walked 50 yard away to look at beaver hut and i was up to my arm pits in water      be careful guys dont be the next you tube video  or something worse
