Starting my thread for the 2016/17 ice season.

In my first video of the season I go over my ice fishing tackle and talk about my open water lures that I use for ice fishing including my secret ice fishing lure (note my honest opinions, I'm not sponsored by anybody):

First Ice fishing trip of the season, fishing was pretty slow but I managed to catch a couple trout and saw a mink which was pretty cool.

Thanks for the support everybody! Finally finished editing the video from last Friday, most action I've had on the ice in a long time!

Nice work on the video! Great brown, that was a beast.  I caught a 2ish pound smallmouth up in Maine years ago that had a ring of teeth marks all the way  around his backside almost up to his vent...I'm thinking that must have been a pretty big pike to put the chomp on a bass that size.

Unfortunately haven't been able to make many ice fishing videos due to the crazy weather and poor conditions we've had hear in the Twin Tiers lately.

Here is the update, my first couple fish of the year and some perch action, nothing to exciting:

Got out ice fishing once last week and open water trout fishing this week.

Been pretty slow 2017, the weather has been doing all kinds of crazy stuff in this area.

Finally did a little more ice fishing this week. Ice conditions have not been good around here in 2017, ice is currently back to unsafe again; this could be my last post for the season.

I wasn't filming that evening but I also caught a huge white crappie (my 2nd biggest) ice fishing this week, picture is on my Instagram at crayoutdoors.

I managed to get out one last time this weekend when it was 60 degrees. Ice is definitely shot now, but the fishing this weekend was actually decent! Only landed 1 pike but had lots of action, hooked into a big trout or something on my UL pole that took me for a ride before breaking the line.
