In good ice years, people use the south creek canoe/boat launch to access (rt 3 half way between saranac lake and tupper lake), but the salt from the road can degrade the ice under the bridge which you'd have to go under. I doubt the ice is safe this year, we keep getting dumps of snow before the very limited cold temps we've had.
Maybe there is another way?
