Electric portable drill augers
« on: Jan 28, 2017, 05:33 PM »
Wow I'm impressed with the portable drill and auger. Worked awesome and quick. Very cool. No more gas smell on my hands.  My old auger not the greatest tool in the shed

No fish though. But had a great time.

Agreed.
I have a Clam plate with a Milwaukee that I use with a 6" Mora and an 8" Nils.
The jiffy hadn't seen use in 3 or 4 years.
I sold it just this week.

Just bought the clam plate, what Milwaukee did you use and where did you get it?
Thanks

I can recommend the milwaukee fuel 18v hammer drill with 1200lbs of torque, got mine at the big orange depot...  it's pricey but so are ice augers, only this one can be used all 12 months of the year
Let it freeze

I don't have a clam plate. I just drilled out a hole and stuck a rod/bolt larger then the auger size. So if it does come out of the chuck it won't sink to the bottom. And it was cheap. Had it laying around in the shop.

I doubt I will ever use my gas again.
