Suckfest on magog up near the border. Bunch of snow with lots of water/slush underneath. Makes for long tiring drags

I was up at hermans. Seems the further north you go the more water/slush you gotta deal with

Caspian was a foot of snow on slush today. After setting up the last tipup all our footprints were full of water/slush. Fishing shut off around 9 for us.

Someone tried driving on, got about 75 feet off the launch and turned around, leaving some deep canals. Thanks dude.

Made a tour around Caspian on my snow machine.   There are areas with 6 - 8 inches of water covered by a foot of snow.  Lots of partially open holes with water coming up through.  Generally sucks all over.  Won't be going back except on foot.

Unless things drastically change, the dude with the hard side shanty on the north end of the lake is going to need a helicopter to get that thing off the ice. Looks like its going to be warm this week.  I think he's screwed.

Anyone on Magog today? Just wondering how the snow/ice was looking after a few days of the warmer weather. I'm not worried about how much ice it's more what is on top of that ice

We went out from Eagle Point yesterday too. Pretty sloppy rounding the bend heading south of the islands then not too bad. 6-8" snow on a bit of slush. 18" of ice but not very solid. I'll bet it'll break up quick next month. More importantly the fishing sucked. Fished for six hours and two of us (and a couple of half-hearted teenagers) managed a half-dozen keeper sized perch on jigs and no trout or salmon at all on 10 tip-ups.

Saturday night we set a bunch of tip-ups for burbot at sundown off the beach at Willoughby for a few hours. Very sloppy there. A foot of snow and a foot of slush. 8" of cruddy ice on 6" of solid black. Caught three burbot.
