Vexilar DD-100

Several years ago I installed a DD-100 digital depth and battery charge indicator on my Vex FL20 Propack.  I thought I'd provide a quick review.  The main lake I fish is 50+ ft deep, so the Vex needs to be set at either 20,40, or 60 ft settings, depending on lake depth where I am fishing.  I also almost always use the bottom zoom feature.  Whenever a buddy asked "what depth are you at", I was always frustrated because I had to get my cheater glasses out and go through the mental gymnastics of looking at the correct "depth ring" and adjusting for the fact I was using the bottom zoom.  Anyway, the DD-100 solved all that, providing instant depth and a battery charge indicator.  It might seem like a minor convenience, but I can't recommend it enough.  My only question is why vex doesn't just add this directly on their factory units.

flx 28 has digital depth right on the screen.my fl20 came  with the d130 battery status indicator but its annoying and in accurate.and doesn't shut off with the power button and have to disconnect the battery to shut it off or the light in it will drain the battery.the dd 100 looks alright but I think its  a  little expensive for what it is.

I love mine. I installed it on my Fl-18 last year.
I also bought the Vexilar bag.

I believe certain packs have the DD-100 on them in recent years from Vexilar . Love mine even got a deal on one for my buddy...got tired of asking him "what you got for depth"...with the "I don't know" as a reply . One of the best add on  you can do.

I put one on my Fl 8se this year and love it! No second guessing the depth. I'm thinking of getting a suppression cable for the times I fish in less than 10 FOW.

you will love the nice thin lines display with the s cable on your fl8se.it can get kind of blobby in less than 10 ft and the jig can be big and mark as a huge red/green blob.s cable is just like having low power mode on the other vexilar units.
