I play around with different things,a couple years ago I put 4 lb Sufix Elite Hi Vis yellow on (more chartreuse than yellow) on one jigging pole then added a short 3-4 foot leader on clear 2 lb test. I always straighten my line before I start fishing but the slight coils of the Hi Vis acted beautifully as a strike indicator. That line really shows up great against the ice and snow. I've used the orange but it turns invisible in the water. I'm a believer in spring bobber, but lining is a blast, there's absolutely no resistance, the fish can't feel anything, only one thing more fun sight fishing.
