Just got word today that they will not open the north unit to ice fishing until feb. 16.
It was supposed to be open dec. 31 which would have been nice for us southsiders but they decided to give six weeks of ice season to rabbit hunters.

Monster lake was a nice 5 to 6 inches of good ice but the action was pretty slow today. A few small gills.
