Just ordered a Jiffy 43-06-ALL 4G Lite 4 Stroke XT Auger from a well known web site for 288 bucks!   Hope I like it  but I couldn't let it pass for that price ...even if it functions as a "back up" .

i will be running the jiffy pro 4 lite this year.never got to  drill a hole with it last year.i think its the same motor as the jiffy 4 g lite but runs on propane.pretty smooth running 4 stroke motor and  has some snap to it too.i bought a 5 inch bit along with the 8 inch bit it came with.should rip a hole in the ice for sure.

you'll love the four stroke, I have the Honda fourstroke strikmaster light, and have loved it the last couple of years, so much lighter and quieter :-) and runs like a champ :-), only flaw in mine is a faulty throttle design, only a problem in -20degrees though, and easy to fix, just a quirk I hope they fix in the design for the future
