Did a road trip today: West Thompson (lake up 6 inches!) and Roseland had significant water around the edges, and the middle did not look good anyway.  Black Pd. looked better, but no one on it. One guy fishing Mashapaug, toward the end of the boat-launch cove. One guy on Bigelow, main basin.
   Before the rain, did Mash. ever safely freeze beyond the first cove?  Am thinking of a trip Friday.
