8 inch finbore offset handle

Picked up the 8 inch finbore iii
She cuts amazing. I'd say the difference in cutting vs 8 inch nils is negligible. Cut holes without breaking a sweat. Less blade issues I'm hoping that's where it'll shine. Will report again at end of season.

Right on, Finbore will be my next auger. I've seen/heard the same thing from friends about it going toe to toe with the Nils, but if you do manage to chowder one of your blades you can get them much easier... I believe you can use Finbore or Mora Lazer blades.

Stop lurking on line and catch some fish!!!!!!!...I've owned ( still own) a lot of augers... including the old spoon type...I have an 8" nils... when it's good it's very, very good.. but when it goes bad ( which can happen quickly)it is awful... I have 2 heads for it just for that reason... I have an old collapsible handle mora that is as Faithfull as an old dog.. you'll sweat bullets making you holes but it'll never leave you hole -less.. same can be said for the strike master I have... now a days if the ice is too thick for the chisel.. I'll go power.. it's just easier on my old shoulders...I've heard good things about the fin bore.. I'll have to try it the next time we fish together.

Glad it's working out for you.  I'll be happy to take that Nils off your hands.   ;)
