Had that happen to me last year on my jiffy propane stuck in the ice and the throttle stuck on long lake. Needless to say shes now traded in for an ion.

I saw an old guy get beat up pretty bad years ago on Shapleigh pond .He had an old single handle jiffy and the ice was very slippery.

A few years ago I watched someone try to grab an auger that was spinning like the video. His hand didn't look very good but he didn't go to an emergency room to get it checked. He just kept drinking.

I had a very similar situation happen to me 2 years ago while fishing with my brother. The throttle cable must have had some moisture in it and it froze in place with the auger going full boar. The thing kept going for nearly five minutes and broke the pull cord off the auger and threw it about 100ft down the lake. After getting the throttle system replaced it happened the very next year, just not nearly as bad as the first time. Bottom line, I will never by another jiffy again. I'm scared of of even using a jiffy now!
