Kill them at the hole, they will work much better fresh dead than frozen dead.

Would you set them directly on the bottom? Or suspend?

I try both depending on bottom type.  Sometimes it's too weedy to put them on the bottom.  When it isn't too weedy I like letting them sit on he bottom if I know its an area pike exist.

agreed! Killing them at the hole is best but if some of them die before you get out, pop them in da freezer. If anything you'll have some funky ice cubes!!!

Na, cover completely in Kosher Salt and store in fridge.  Works much better than freezing.  If you are dead set on freezing kosher salt and vac seal.

Sudbury river? Fair haven bay, always wondered were to park and how to get in there. I'm gonna try to take a ride up there this weekend and scope it out, I doubt there would be any ice on river system this early in the game.

yeah there is a small parking area on 117 if your heading east on 117 its on the left, if your heading west on 117 its on the right , but only way to get to the bay that I know of is to walk up the frozen river not alot of access
