We are on fishable ice here at one of the local lakes, but my favorite one has yet to get fishable ice. It is capped now, I think, but not safe yet. 15 below zero should get us there quickly though!! Can't say I remember hitting 15 below since I've been here.

That is what we need over here for a few days. Still wearing Tee shirts here. But it is to get colder after Jan 1st. Hope long enough to get least 4" before it all melts away.

Raptortrapper glad to hear things are good for fishing in your area. My situation is similar to Beeverfishing's still waiting for things to cool down and lakes to freeze.

I'm having a heat wave this morning at 16 Degrees. It has been in the 4 or 5 Degree ranges for days. And of course where I like to fish it looks like this.

Much better Lefty and just in time to cancel the launch codes, BTW the letter to Santa came back, I forgot to put Raspberry flavored stamp on it. The gaps should be looking pretty good now. Maybe I will hitch a ride with someone. Think anyone would pick up a hitch hiker standing on the road with a backpack, Bucket, and auger on his shoulder ? $:-\$

I've been Eyeing Crawford. Had a cap on it last week and we have had all this nice weather. Still only 16 here. It was 16 at 4am. Highest temp in Crawford for the next 10 days is 26. I might hit it up next week towards the weekend. Caught this baby there one day.

My guys up fishing right now said the temp this morning at 11-Mile In Colorado were -21 before sunrise . Our negatives are like the low positives for you guy back east because we do not have any humidity.

Where I fish in Wyoming the lows, over the next 7 days, will range from -5 to -15. Lots of new ice, or adding more ice, on the way!

-24 in Gunnison,Co this morning. I had -7.6 this morning and it stayed at -6 to -7 until after 10 am. The old Diesel didn't want to start. Had to put a jumper on it.
