IT BEGINS

Looks like starting next Thursday we start to have ice making weather fellas. Not frigid, but I definitely like the string of freezing highs and lows that I see. Looks like my Jan. 16 guess of when I'll step on the ice may not be that far of a cry after all. :tipup: ;D @)

Temps are looking promising now.  If winds lay down and temps stay this way we may be on by mid January.  Guess it's time to start my ice fishing diet :roflmao:

The hi temp rain that we have experienced have put the lakes into a state that you can compare to early October. I hope it gets cold enough to drop the temp and lock it up but personally I am anticipating the first week of February to get on ice.

Just looked at the flow charts for the river and what a change a week has made.  River is higher now than it has been the entire fall.  River temp has gone up 4 degrees in the past 2 days and its looking like clarity may be an issue in the morning.  Not too often you have to worry about the river getting blown out and dirty from rain in late December ???

I hope your right I'm ready to get out there for sure . I just changed my boat back over to fishing form duck hunting and if it don't start to ice up I'm going to go anyway .
