Jimmy Smith Lake
« on: Dec 04, 2015, 08:21 PM »
As my name implies Im not a huge fan of trout! But!!! Jimmy Smith is a different story these fish are natural and all pink meat, their rainbows but are a very pretty fish and decent size to! The fish were stunted for a long time and I guess they wanted to put Tiger Muskies in there but the locals convinced them to increase the limit to 25 and that done the trick its producing nice fish because the lake has abundant feed to plus a beautiful scenery that's hard to match in my opinion! The ice is around 5 inches and Ive been told that it might be better to park your ATV on shore rather than drive on the lake they did some work on the trail but a side by side is not recommended! Stop in Challis for some good eats to the people are very friendly! Trout are like shooting your limit of grouse when your hunting elk! Its not really what Im after but heck Ill take it!

Wow ! Well done, you not only came back to your thread but included several points of humor.      :roflmao:

A beautiful area:     Have a look.

And, listed in Idaho Fish and Game Angler Guide:       Enjoy.

Please forgive me, not being clear of "Location".

It is in your "Profile", Sir.       ;)2

Thanks for the most kind comment, No Trout Please.    ;)2

If I speak while on the ice it's most likely to the Shakespeare reel from the early 50's ~ which I shouldn't post here, ha.   :woot:

I will make an honest effort to your demand of no deletions.

Your possession of good will indicates you're OK.                  :icefish:
