Can anyone help me out with ice conditions around Phillips/Musser?

I can only speak for Lake Solberg, but when I was up there the 28th/29th there was 4 to 5 inches on the north end of the lake.  We have a cabin where Squaw Creek flows into the lake and were able to walk the channel all the way to the campground.

When we drove in and out of town, it looked like people were fishing Duroy in town as well.

I was up fishing the 1st - 3rd on Duroy and where we were in the middle of the lake there was anywhere from 6 - 8 inches of ice, Sunday I did notice what looked like a little bit of water on the ice\snow coming from a crack towards shore.  There were several people driving sleds and ATVs on the ice pulling permanents around though.  The next lake over on the chain, Elk, the channel still looked iffy out to about the middle of that lake.  We didn't check the shore line or the back bay.  I didn't get a chance to look at Musser.  I would call Ross's sport shop in Phillips and talk to them about ice conditions.

Thanks.  Is Duroy really pretty shallow all over?  Might make a stop there on the 15th.  The topographic maps seem to say shallow but from several years back I recall it being deeper.

Duroy has a pretty deep hole where a majority of guys set up and fish.  The definition of a community crappie hole as far as I'm concerned.

-22 today in Phillips.  Think ice will be safe for trucks or no?  Friday can't come soon enough!
