welcome aboard. Where ya at? put your location in your profile. The Smitty sled is a light weight, knock down sled that was designed by a poster here named Smitty! It's the perfect sled for making dragging a tub in snow much easier and it's a good base to add onto also.

Nice of you to come out of the shadows, welcome to the boards.

As has been mentioned, the search option at the top of the page is your friend but sometimes it's not. It has issues sometimes and you will have to go and use google or bing and do a search with the key words of smitty sled and iceshanty and it should bring up the threads on here.  It's basically a pair of skis that are screwed together with risers to keep your flipover or popup off the snow so it's way easier to pull.

Welcome Johnny.......as others have mentioned this ia a great site......I am Smitty and the inventor of the "Smitty Sled"........which these guys named it........if you need help with your Smitty sled if you decide to build one.....I am here with all the answers........traffic is picking up around here since the weather is changing, so check back often..........again welcome to the shanty!!

Another big welcome to Ice Shanty. The "Smitty" style lets you move your gear further with less strain on your ticker. In snowless travels to the ice I made myself a "wagon" with casters to go under mine made from angle iron.  ;D  Leaves are turning, Ice is not far off.
