Gone Electric but now how to keep it dry ?

Going with a hand held cordless drill setup this year and was curious as to what everyone is using to keep the drill dry throughout the day. I can just see those days of my sled being full of slush

maybe separate from the bit and store the drill in a tall , narrow cooler w a lockable lid? shouldn't take too much space that way.

I picked up a Strikemaster power head cover that slips over my drill and Clam plate. If it's snowing it will keep that away and I figure if it's warm I'll just put the whole thing in my portable.
