you could call the bait shops around Cadillac & Houghton lake. Im kinda wondering the same thing, the ice is getting pretty ugly around here.
But don't quote me on that. I have a drinking problem, I keep running out of beer. I've always been a little bit crazy, but its kept me from going insane.

Fished Sunday. We had good ice. Caught lots of gills. Shoreline getting slushy with 14 inches of solid ice. Fished around Greenville, Michigan.  Hopefully fishing this weekend.

I have been up in Sault Sainte Marie the last week for work.  They have good ice.  Last weekend it was covered in slush but it should be firmed up now.  Headed home this morning with a stop around Traverse City to fish.  A friend told me he was fishing on twenty some inches yesterday

Cadillac should have ice.   Call this shop for an ice report.

sounds like lake st Clair is holding up, just stay in a couple feet of water. Seen numerous pigs on Sunday, catching them, well thats another story.

I'm in Livingston county and we still have a good 12" of clear ice.
I'd rather be fishing than sleeping

I'm keeping tabs on Higgins on another board and it's still good if you can get on. Next few days up there and WINTER IS BACK ...at least briefly.
I like to sit around on the ice doing nothing because my wife won't let me do it at home.

Still fishing today about an hour North of GR with 7-9" of ok ice.  I think the cold temps we had help save some ice this week.  Ice will go fast after this wind, rain and warm-up the rest of the week.  A few friends from the North are still fishing in Clare, Missaukee, Wexford and Roscommon counties and my guess is that some lakes up that way will still be good going into April.  I called an end to my season.  I was hoping to make it from Nov-April but not this year.
