I was there Saturday pulling my bob house off the lake and really glad I did.  The ramp onto the lake WAS fine. Plenty of ice everywhere. It's once you get out a ways, especially towards Welch there was a lot of slush areas that would get anything stuck including my Ranger with tracks and a couple snowmobiles that sank into the slush.   I live across the street and still see a lot of bob houses way out there. Good luck getting them off after this weeks warm up.

Snowmobile would be your best travel method but no guarantees.  Should be fine in the coves...

Good Luck!

Dan

Sketchyyyyyyy out there! I went Sunday morning to pick up my bob house and my tacoma made it out fine. I went out today and talk about slush, almost got my sled stuck a few times. Good luck but I'd wait until it freezes over again... If it ever does.:(

any  lake right now with the weight of this heavy wet melting snow will be sagging the more you make it offshore or towards the middle.  The heavy drifts that were there last week are now giant slush bombs ready to eat your machine.  I still tried it today on Wentworth and got stuck but good in my all wheel drive. ! 1/2 hours of calf deep shoveling of heavy slush to get of the lake . As the day got warmer the worse it got.
On the other hand if there are holes in the ice throughout the area and they are drawing the lake down, and cold temps, it may improve dramaticly.

thanks for the info guys. Shoot thanks for the pic too.  I saw the temps are gonna get low again tonight.  Probably not long enough to freeze everything but it should firm up a bit don't you think?  that my wishful thinking......Sticking with foot travel for sure.
