Fished the south end for the second part of the day -- skunked. It was an easy walk, conditions were good for everyone except the pike. Only fished tip-ups with shiners and not a single flag.

I was wondering if someone could help me out?  Grew up on Conesus lake but live out of area and have not ice fished it for 30 years.  Friday I am taking some kids fishing on the lake and would like some advice/info.  I will have a heated shanty for their warmth.  I know lots of guys walk out of vitale but was wondering about the drag with lots of gear.  I have a snowmobile that usually use to drag sled and get around with.  So questions are 1) are there spots to get on lake with snowsled that get me to spot good for catching fish with kids  2) or is drag not bad so just walk out of vitale?  Any suggestions are appreciated - thanks

I was out Saturday the paths out of Vitale were packed down pretty good so the walk out wasn't bad. The bluegills bit good so they should keep the kids interested. Even off the path most of the snow must have blown off because it was only a few inches deep. Have fun out there ice was at least a foot thick.
Fishermen are born honest, but they get over it...
