i saw on the fish and game site that there are lakers in it, but it is not listed as a lake trout/ salmon lake. i was thinking of fishing there this weekend and i was wondering if its legal to fish 6 lines a person there or just 2.

I believe it is a border lake and you are allowed 5.  Read rules for border lakes carefully.

Unless otherwise specified, the limit is 6.

Yes, Great East IS controlled as a Lake Trout lake.  It is not listed in the table of lakes because it is a border lake.  It is listed on the list of lake trout managed waters though:



And yes, it is thus a two trap lake.  Need to look at the interstate waters section of the digest:

Now, as small as most lakers are in there, would like to see something like make the trap limit five like rest of Maine but increase the minimum size to something bigger.  Maybe do some kind of slot limit like Maine dies with Sebego?
