Floating Tip-ups?
« on: Jan 15, 2006, 08:05 AM »
Its the only way were going to get to use them in Southern Michigan this winter (by calendars standards only).  So, what do you think, zip tie a tip-up inside of a child's float tube?  It'll look dorky, but it's the only way my equipment will get wet from here on out.  :-\

There is just something wrong about pulling the boat out in mid-January in my mind.  So...do we plan a "float trip" to Gull Lake????   ha ha

God I miss the flags.

Believe it or not, some guys tried that on my backyard lake years ago with innertubes. Had to laugh at 'em 'cause the wind kept drifting them into the weeds. So they finally gave up. 'Suppose they might have anchored them somehow, but just doesn't seem worth the effort.  ???

The only thing frozen around East Lansing/Okemos are the sidewalks I run on.  Lucky me. :-\

I almost pulled my kayak out yesterday and took a trip on the Grand River, just to be doing something on the water.
