Jigged a few

Got out of work a few hours early this afternoon.Set 5 traps and nothing going. Pulled a trap and dropped a jig. Didn't get it to the bottom.. Fish on!! Jigged up 4 others all in holes I had traps in previously. I have always been a trap first, jig second guy. However, I am starting to get the hang of this jigging stuff. Patience grasshopper......

Nice fatties! Always a blast to jig a few fish up. It's crazy how hard they strike lurers.

Nice batch of fish! I prefer jigging, feels more like fishing lol.  I use 4 traps to see where the fish are while I'm hole hopping with a rod.  Lures tend to bring the fish in if they are in the area. I've had a few days like you did today, nothing on traps but hitting multiple with the rod.
