HighTide, PhilK, Fergie & myself made a trip to Lake Erie last week. The bite was hot for the first 3 hours of the day and then shut off. In hindsight we should have moved more often to get back on some fish. I caught the 7 fish in the video in about 40 minutes. It was fast and crazy!

I like trying to show the jigging style and the hookup in my videos.....so I was experimenting with the position of my GoPro so the first few fish I was already hooked up.

It was another good day on Lake Erie. Thanks Hoosier!

Awesome! For those who are looking to get better with raps, pay attention to his jigging motion... Bret puts fish on the ice every trip out, and usually without bait... And he just gave you the candy!!

Yep and as always it is my privilege to fish with these guys and also is my privilege to call these guys my friends. I could not ask for better people to fish with. What a great time. I made some good friends from this site and lost a couple also but live and learn I guess. Great job on the video Bret.

I to was out Saturday the 24. It was hot out of camp Perry. I to caught two 28 inches that day also. Picks to prove it. 3.7 miles out. Last Thursday in the rain storm it was hot 6.7 miles out till the north wind and snow showed up. Have to move and work for them. Going back Wednesday or Monday after the weekend.

Good video Bret! I like the go pro view from your Marcum. I also laughed a little as your eyes lit up when you were reeling in the rod with the minnows on the spoon and then whacked one on the rap!

Question....were you able to see your rap in on the marcum? I know the go pro can distort distances a bit, but it looked like the hole was a few feet away from where you were jigging, but by the way you would reel up your Rap or lower it, I assume you could see it on the finder.

Really nice fatty's that haven't missed any meals! Thanks for posting the video too! That is a trip Id like to make with my boy some day. Ive also wanted to go up to MN and due a trip! My parents live 30 mins south of Red Lake...gotta make that a priority!

Great job and it looked like a fun trip. It's nice too see some fish released for another day or just to let them spawn. Nice looking suit you have on there. I love mine. I've been happy with ever since I won it last year in the Ice Shanty contest last year.

Bret, that was very enjoyable. Like Wax I'm assuming you could see your lures...even though in a different hole? Looks like ya'll had a ball.

Awesome job on the video n congrats to all you guys on catching some nice walleyes. Its going to b hard getting around erie now with all the snow. I think were going to leave four wheeler home n take snowmobile next time we go over to erie.

Yes I could see it. I had another hole between the two I was fishing.... just a little farther away from me. The bite was furious for about and hour and I will never fish two rods like that again! I missed several other fish! Live & learn.
