got back from perch lake today, between two of us we got around 40 perch worth keeping, the biggest about 10" or so, the perch were hitting the tip-up minnows so we would jig in the tip-up holes when we had perch playing w/ them, never got any crappies in there but have found them in the pike's stomachs before

How much ice did you have when you were there?  I'm trying to figure out how far north I have to go.  I was up on the St. Lawrence once this year, they've got tons of ice, but that's a long haul for me.
