I'm hoping the forecast that says partly cloudy and light winds is the one that comes true. I'm glad there is supposed to be snow for Friday so there will be some traction on top.
We'll see what happens.
Still amazes me how a lot of the kids last year wanted to keep fishing and their parents were the ones whining to go home.

Just got back from horse thief this evening.  Me and a buddy kept 7 of the nine we iced.  Some guys by us limited out in 2 hours.  We where right out from the bathrooms before the dam. Have a good time everyone going out with there kids tomorrow !

Agreed.  It was a great event that my boys thoroughly enjoyed. 
And the fishing, although small trout, was hot and heavy!

A big "Thanks" to all those that came out and supported the event. It was another big success. Lots of kids catching fish, some for the first time. There was approximately 200 ice fishing rods given away to kids, 100 skimmers, lots of lures from Macks and Northland, and a mess of green buckets. They should have a good start on their future ice fishing adventures!

The kid fishing derby was amazing!  We took 9 ice fishing newbies to the ice and all the kids were jumping for joy!!!! Most of them were hooked on ice fishing afterwards.  A special thanks to all involved, you guys are shaping the future of fishing and my wife and I can't thank you enough!
