I was on Sacandaga last saturday by the Food n Fuel entrance road. Vander-something. Ice was 18" thick. Closest people to me about 3/4 mile. I was just south of Beacon Island near the bouys. Had a pretty good day. The bright sunlight kept the Walleyes from really biting. I would go this weekend but have to work and Walleye season is closed. Should still be plenty thick. Snowmobiles and 4 wheelers were on the ice all day. Hope this helps....

theres open water along the shore up by 123 and sunset bay is opening up daily with the creek inflow.  probably could get out on a plank but why?  seasons closed for real fish - wait till next year sunnyboy
