Hail to the Lions
« on: Jan 04, 2006, 12:40 AM »
;D Before you tell me, I know this is off the subject but Since I am the Farthest North Penn State Fan, I just thought we should congratulate our own Penn State Nittany Lions as the Orange Bowl Champs. What a game I think i have ulcers after watching all those missed field goals. I knew that OLE JOE PA and his kids could pull it out. Now you can all relax and spend more time fishing and see if you can beat my Team Alaska  >:D in the Tourney.

The gloves are off boys :flex:

Sincerely

Brad

Pennstate's offense was not prepaired nor did it seem like they made any significant adjustments.

Yeah they were out of wack there. Did not look like the team I got to see whoop up on Minnesota in Oct. I think those unexpected injuries cooled their fire. The replacements did pick up the pace for not having much playing time this year.

Austin Scott had a great game.

We could arm chair QB the game to death but that least they made many people proud to be Nittany Lion fans this year

Lets face it at Least PSU Had a winning Season

A "win" is good no matter what.  I'm looking forward to next year.

I think that game was possibly one of the best I've ever seen.  Understanding that I'd much rather see great defense than offense.  I can't imagine the stamina it took to be out on that field for almost 5 hours.  And you can't possibly find two classier individuals than JoePA and Bobby Bowden.  That joint interview immediately after the game was one of the greatest showings of sportmanship that I've ever seen.

Great game to both sides.  I'm almost sorry that FSU had to lose.............wait no.............I'm glad they lost!    They'd revoke my alumni card for that!

Talk to y'all soon.........

A great win for the Lions.

Austin Scott is a local football hero from near-by Allentown and he was totally unstoppable in high school. Judging by last nights game though, I guess he was never asked to "pick up the blitz" very often!  :D

Puz is in a lot of pain and can not put any weight on it.  The team doctor says it is bad but they are waiting till this morning for the MRI.  It looks like he will be out next year to rehab and then back for one year to prove it is healed.  I will post this afternoon the results.

Lucky they didn't have to play USC or Texas it would have been a blow out based on what I seen in the Rose Bowl last night.  State should have taken care of FS and never let it get to the way it had to end.

Penn St had a 45 day lay off, It's hard to get back into it (if you ever played foosball before). They still should have blown them out. Florida St did get better as the year went on. Hey they went 11-1 give them some credit. Let's pray for ice and the STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Paul changed his plans and flew to State College on the Univ. charter not as planned with his teammates to Pittsburgh.  He will go in this morning for the MRI.  Let hope for the best.

The only reason FS was so close to PSU was they blitzed every play after the first quarter... when PSU did connect they were usually deeper passes, kinda abandoned the run game second half... thouroughly impressed with both teams... kicking game did make me throw the remote a few times tho... lol...

congrats PSU... hopefully the next couple years will be as productive

Hey ice nutter, that's ok not to pray for the STEELERS. Your loss, but I do agree with you on praying for ice. Where do you fish?
