Well, the numbers are still down in the basement but the amount of fish that are making their way around the area seems to be up. (the cams show all) We started over on Sorenson's side of the lake  but as soon as the sun started to break the sky we headed across the lake. The pressure ridge is getting pretty big over there and it looks like people are going to be having problems getting from one side to the other. Since the area is pretty much the same depth, which ever side you are on, you should be able to get into some pretty good fish on that side as the winter moves along. Although the perch didn't take the hooks to often, there was only a little time around 11 am and again around 3 pm that they weren't looking at the bait or having a up and personal look in to the cam.

better luck to those involved

Thanks for the post Pat.  How thick is the ice there? I havent strayed far from the north end and its a good 20 inches. The perch up here are pretty small tho..  Going to have to get braver and head south to the deeper holes.
Old fishermen never die, they just smell that way.

Hello anglerbrian

The ice there is anywhere from 13 to 16 inches. The weather hasn't really helped us as far as growing a lot of ice over the last couple of weeks. The snow cover is almost nothing and I have seen a few two wheel drive cars and trucks on the ice. If and when we get some more cold weather it should be good to go as far as driving all over the ice but as it is now I would only feel good in areas that people have been to. That lake can do some strange things. It is a little hard to see a few of the pressure ridges and the areas around them might be a little thin. Although I have seen people driving down the lake to that area I would use a lot of caution around any of the ridges.

Once the perch start to turn on I will post some more :)
