Baldwin  was still open water on Saturday. Even with the cold this week it might still be a little iffy this weekend. At least there will be good ice on the channels of area lakes this weekend.

I gave you an honest report last year and you got rude back with me.  Don't ever count on another report from me.  Gas is cheap. Take a drive ;)

Its comments like that you could save for yourself. I dont even remember you and yet you still had to get smart. Thanks for nothing. As said before I have a 1 month old and cant spare time to drive searching. That's why there is an awsome site for info not for criticism. Have a great ice season.  ;)

Maybe this will refresh your memory.  You asked for ice conditions and I live 10 minutes from the lakes you asked about and when I gave you an answer you said you don't care what I have to say.  Like I said before.  I'll say nothing about ice conditions to you.  MAKE THE DRIVE!

I have read the past post and I kinda feel bad for lashing out on you. I dont expect you to tell me anything still but I do apologize. I was very rude and inconciderent. I was young and I wouldnt even think about talking like that. Like I said my apologizes to you. I was in the wrong. Hope you have a good season.

I drove by Zimmys yesterday, didn't see anyone on the ice, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't safe. Couldve just been all working too. Ive had access to the north bay for about five years now, and im dying to go. If you go and its unsafe, theres a ton of smaller lakes around that should have safe ice and offer decent fishing. could try driskels or chain, just be cautious on chain, its spring fed.

Are you talking about the north bay on baldwin?

I did not do that great on Baldwin last year. Had a couple good outings but it was usually slow. Had better luck for gills in Juno channel. Pike were slow too but in the spring I caught dozens of em trolling the same areas I ice fish. Most of them were 23.5 inches  so they're keepers now. Hopefully they will be biting better than last year.  I heard good reports from little Baldwin  for gills and crappie last year but the snow was too deep to walk across the lake.

Little baldwin was half open on Monday about 3PM when I drove by.  I would make sure you spud everywhere out there with all the snow they have on what ice has been able to form.
