« on: Jan 06, 2015, 08:48 AM »
I have a vexilar fl8se with the 19 degree iceducer and was wondering if anyone here uses either the tri beam or the proview transducer and what are the advantages of either one. Thanks

if you get a good tribeam being able to adjust is invaluable.  apparently if you fish less than 20' of water regularly you'll need a few S cables and run low power mode all the time to make good use of the proview.

I have the fl18 with the pro-view, I am trying to find/get a tri-beam. If I can't I'll buy a Marcum just to have a dual beam ducer. The pro-view is way to sensitive in water 20ft or less, I really don't like it even though I fish any where from 5ft to 160ft IT DOES NOT WORK in shallow water. It does not work for everything like they say. Once you fish with a good tri-beam you wont want anything else.
