Anyone been out to Magog?

I figure it should be good by this Saturday with the cold week we're having, but I don't want to drive up to Newport only find an unpleasant surprise of some sort. Anyone know how the ice is shaping up up there? Thanks a lot, hoping for a good season for everyone.

I was in Newport today. South Bay looked solid but no one was out there. The main lake will take a while. There's some ice but also open water.

Thanks for the info. I was planning on staying close to shore, but I think I'll stick more local this weekend. Very helpful.
