Looked at the ready rig one and its what I'm leaning towards buying. Ice striker looked like a good unit also. I currently use a bucket and would like a bag that held some smaller clam tackle boxes and misc. Items. Any recommendations?

i tried gander and ht brand with no luck zippers broke.

i end out with a cabelas rod bag one at link it works good but have went on to try other stuff...rod tip get broken in the bags is why..

I highly recommend the Striker Ice Transporter. I just purchased mine last week and can't be happier with the amount of storage space and the quality of construction. It has 4 side pouches and a large center storage area for Vex or whatever else you want to put in there. It has 5 rod tubes, but you can fit more rods of shorter length in the center area if necessary. Lastly, I'm very pleased with the ease of either using the Ice Transporter as a backpack or using strap to carry over shoulder.  For the mobile fisherman who doesn't travel on ice by quad or truck, it's a definite convenience.

I really like the tackle bag that's on sale for 9.99. Probably get one just for the price. I was thinking I'd make rod tubes for the ready rig bag, but seems like it would be better to just go with the ice striker. Any thing to look out for with it?

I carry my Kifaru hunting pack on the ice. I have the nomad with bikini frame. Its expensive, but I use it elk hunting out west and I use it for walking in while waterfowling. It can carry everything and its very comfortable.
