Lowrance Mark 4 HDI Model Input / Help
« on: Nov 26, 2014, 05:43 AM »
Need input / help...Does anyone out there use this model for ice fishing, if so how well does it work for you?
Can you  use the Mark4 (HDI) with a Lowrance Ice Machine kit?
What lake chips are you using in it?
I bought one for my son and now I'm not sure if he will be able to use it on the hard water.
Thanks!

I have the same one just in a color screen. Yes you can use the ice pack but you will need to buy a Uniplug Connector Kit, Navico part number 000-10052-001, in order to be compatible with HDI models. The regular map chip should work fine for ice or summer.

Or you can just buy the PTI-WBL ice ducer (plugs right into the HDI units with no adapter) grab a 12v battery and rig up your own box and save some $

I set an Elite 5x up for the ice this year. I've only used it once so far but I'm liking it.
