Anyone in the PG area know if Cobb is frozen enough and fishable? Im hoping to get out for my first ice fishing trip ever this Sunday. :)

I was out there 3 weeks ago just to check conditions and it was frozen over.  There were a few areas that looked a little suspect but after the last cold snap I'm sure it's good to go.  I may see you out there as Cobb is on my short list for lake choice this weekend, just don't know if I'm going out Saturday or Sunday yet.

Btw, ignore the big "Rec site closed" sign if it is still up as it was only for when they were adding some extra sites.  They finished construction October 31.

Thanks.
How would one go about checking if it is safe?
Jump on it in the shallows then drill a few feet out to see the thickness?

Early ice I use a spud and check every 2nd step.
If the spud goes through turn around. ;)
