St. Germain conditions

I will be heading up there first week in May. My concern is the ice won't be off the lakes. We fish Found lake. Can anyone help?

last year the ice was off about mid May on some lakes others a little sooner and this year has more ice. I would be concerned too.

Last year, boat ramp was locked up so we used chain saws to break it up. Next day it was all open. Caught alot of Crappie and Walleye.
