3/4 oz or bigger but yeah that will work . Drop to bottom and just reel. If nothing in 10 drops, Move U will find them. Look at keuka lake  on the report page lots of info

I use 3/8 and 1/4 oz buckshot jigs glow perch works best in the morning and gold perch once it gets bright out, tip with a fathead or 2

Use 1/2 oz (easy and cheap to find at Walmart) Eagle Claw Jighead and put on a 3" or 4" white or white and silver tube jig.  Last week, I put on a treble stinger trailer and was picking up more short strikers. I use a 2 foot fluorocarbon leader to a swivel to main line.  Jig/work the bottom on up - electronics will be your friend as many will chase from bottom on up.  I had one go from 147 FOW and follow all the way up to 60 FOW before striking.   I will be out on the lake in the AM too.

Seems like any white plastic works for the better fish. Just stick it on the heaviest jig head you have and get it down there. Watch those chasers, as Huntyeraws says, they will slam it on the way up. 165' has been a little better for us lately.

Does a bear, you know what, in the woods?
