Lackawanna State park reports?

I noticed that the lackawanna state park thread rarely gets updated in the fishing reports section. Does [almost] no one on here fish there?

I might head there this weekend. My son has been asking me to show him how I can fish when the lake is frozen.

I was there 2 sundays ago.Good ice 12" or better.Bite was slow.It was the day after the derby.We always have action on this lake.I guess it was just a bad day.Ill be back before iceout.

Is it closed due to trout stocking?

Nevermind. I answered my own question after a little searching on the PA Boat and Fish commission site. The lake is open.

Fish the area by the pool,18 fow,when your looking from the parking lot it will be slightly to the left. I fish there quite a bit and do OK on the gills,if you put your time in you can get some decent sized ones,tip up fishin has been slow for me there this year so far still got time left though,if your taking a child it would be best to have a shelter they get cold when there not moving and its nice to be out of the wind good luck

Is there walleyes in there? I heard there is!

It does state that they are in there but I have never seen one caught,a few weeks ago I was fishing the bullhead bay area with my son when the fish warden paid us a visit, in our conversation I asked him about walleyes being in there and he said there's supposed to be I asked him if he ever seen or heard of one being caught and his answer was no,so I think they may have stocked it with fry years ago but they never took is my guess,like so many other lakes that had walleye in them until they started stocking trout
