I got on at the Tyler Place in Highgate Springs early but there were already guys coming off the ice who reported that the perch weren't biting at all but I tried it anyway off to the east by that big rock island sticking up out. It was a very slow day but ended up with 4 keeper pike (lost a couple others, too) and 7 perch, two of which I used for bait which wasn't bad considering I was rigged with medium shads. It was especially fun because there's over 3 ft of ice and only about 18" of water near that rock so each one of the pike ran a mile and fought like crazy, felt much bigger than they really were.
