finger lakes region seneca falls

i will be moving to Seneca falls next fall and was wondering if any of the finger lakes freeze up good enough to fish, or if there are any decent lakes close by. whitefish?

you will be close to the north end of Cayuga, not too far from Sodus Bay (Lake Ontario), and a bunch of smaller lakes...no on the whitefish, but plenty of panfish, pike/pickerel, walleye etc. within driving distance...It takes a good cold winter for Cayuga but there are plenty of opportunities around Seneca Falls. good luck!

its been 7/8 years ago i did catch a whitefish at sodusbay. it was the first i'ed ever seen,relested it.   you should have plenty of good times here.welcome to the area
