I read this little hole near Regina (Kronau) supposedly holds perch and jack and that there were some stocking and aeration efforts in the past.  Anyone know whether it is a suitable ice-fishing spot?  Thanks for any information.

Hi hangblague, I have never tried Oyama Reservoir but I have a friend that has ice fished it in the past and has done well. The most common catch was perch but an occasional smaller pike could be found as for ice conditions this year I have not heard. I would try and contact Pokey at Pokey's tackle shop in Regina or Great Northern Rod and Reel. Both these places keep track of the fishing around the Regina area, one last try could be to phone the Regina SERM office, they should know if the ice is safe to go on yet and the action.
Good luck.

It used to be a great walleye spot 20 years ago, now it is just pike and perch, and it is hit and miss in the winter. Little perch.
