Long Weekend fishing
«

Well I am heading out to Sprague this weekend. I am wondering if it is worthwhile taking my fishing stuff. Can one get on the big lake at Birch Point? What about Moose Lake?
I read Don Lamount's article that LOTW is getting to hard to access anywhere even with a 4x4
Thanks for any information anyone can offer.

Unless you have a snowmobile I would say that Birch Point is a no go.
People have been walking on Moose so that might be an option for you.

I was out at birch point today. Its sled or quads only. Saw a bunch of truck tracks going on to moose lake. And like Dr. Funk said, moose lake is easy to access by foot and fishing can be good just a hundred yards off shore.

I have fished 20 yards off shore on Moose and had success!
