Rivir Lake (Chain-O-Lakes)
« on: Dec 17, 2005, 12:41 PM »
Fished Rivir Lake yesterday and this morning.  Caught them well yesterday evening, even in the nasty wind!!!  Walked off the ice with 14 gills all 8 inches or better.  Went back this morning and the bite was much tougher.  Found the fish no problem, but getting the bigger ones was difficult.  I think I am going to start the tip up and pike thing up north...Need a change of pace...

chicagill34,

Has anyone tried Mud or Norman that you know of or have you heard any other reports???  I know Sand fishes good, but I think it needs to make a little more ice.  I am going to go out tomorrow, but don't really want to fish Blue and would like to try a different lake besides Rivir.  I might give Dock a go...

Hey Iceman!
I'm going to the park tomorrow, not sure which lake though. Is Sand open still? That's
my favorite. Let me know if you are going.
Later Greg
Fish on!

Greg2ha,

Not sure if Sand is still open.  As of last Saturday it was still way open.  I was going to check it today after I got done at Rivir, but was tired so I just headed home.  I think I am going to try Dock for a change of scenery.  I have ice fished it in the past, but not for about 2 years.  Not sure if I am going in the AM or PM yet, but it will probably be AM because in the evening on Dock your Vex fills up with feed back from all the microorganisms in the water column.
