I may fish this lake for the tourney.

He is my buddy in mid November with a nice trout. It is 36 1/4 inches.




Here is his brother with a slightly smaller trout.

Don't think I've ever seen a rainbow with spots that big, wow!  What strain of rainbow is that?

That is certainly a nice fish.  Are you sure it is not a brown trout from the Great Lakes? ;D

If it's not a weird Rainbow with huge spots and no spots on it's tail, then either a Sea-run Brown or Atlantic Salmon?

I already tried, looked at both Canadian Provinces and Europe-nada-nothing that looks like it.

Sweden is correct. It is lake Vanern which is one of the biggest lakes in Europe.
The water temp when they caught the fish was 4 degrees celcius.

Yup, Sweden, the darn site I first went to had Swedens flag a royal blue a different site had the powder blue and yellow.

This guy is the Swedish Icefishing Champion. He has fished for his country in many world Icefishing championships which are very different than tourneys here. He traded that coat/fleece jacket for one of his inventions. He is always working on new inventions trying to improve them.
Just like I sometimes put on my Swedish coat and take a picture to send to him to throw off his buddies at guessing where that is. Next time though he should make sure he takes the Swedish flag out of the pic ;D
