Tough day at Winona Lake
« on: Dec 19, 2005, 08:06 AM »
I struggled at Winona Lake Sunday.  Caught several small fish and lost a few keepers.  Light bite. I fished the north end called Little Eagle behind the Lakeview school.  2-3 inches white ice and 3-4 clear ice.  Still open water on main lake.  Perch is 9.5 inches.

Lakehopper,  I parked in a vacant lot at the lakes edge right where the public access channel enters the lake.  There is school parking lot all along the channel.  PLENTY of parking.  I'm still new to ice fishing.  That was my first time on Winona.
