Has anyone checked out Horsethief reservoir? Tackle Tom's said people were doing good up there about two weeks ago.

Fished it Saturday, road in was plowed, ice was good no slush and very little snow on top. Oh and fishing was real good, pretty steady action most of the day.

It's been really good the last several weeks, can't complain. Not extremely large trout; I prefer the smaller ones but it's definitely worth heading up, especially if you have first-timers or kids.

Went today. I wouldnt say the road was plowed but it was pretty packed down, the edges look iffy. Fished for about 3.5 hours caught around 20 rainbows. If anyone catches one up there with a pink rod in its mouth please let me know.

Like everyone else has said...fishing has been good but mostly smaller fish. Great for kids for sure!
